A new Families First Team in South Lanarkshire will provide practical support to children, young people and families in their homes and communities.

Care close to home

The service is part of the area’s Care Close to Home approach and aims to deliver flexible early intervention alongside existing social work and family support.

The Promise

The team will help deliver The Promise, Scotland’s commitment that all children grow up loved, safe and respected. Councillor Margaret Walker and health and social care chief officer Professor Soumen Sengupta both welcomed the investment.
