Children and Young People Minister Siobhian Brown has appointed Nigel Rooke and Edward Seery to the board of the Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration (SCRA), the body that runs the Children’s Reporter service within the children’s hearings system.
The appointees
Mr Rooke was Head of Governance and Change at Glasgow City Council, leading digital and transformation programmes, and has experience in adult social work and work with excluded young people. Mr Seery spent more than 25 years with the police, latterly leading national criminal justice transformation programmes with partners including the Crown Office and the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service.
Term
The appointments run for four years, from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2030.
