Counter-terrorism police have arrested a 25-year-old dual British-Iranian national in Westminster in connection with a security incident near RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, Al Jazeera reports.
The investigation
He is the sixth person detained on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts. Five others arrested earlier were released on bail. Police were alerted on Sunday to unusual activity near the base, including parked vans and masked men; no weapons were found, but a quantity of petrol was recovered.

None of the suspects has been charged or named. Police are investigating possible foreign state involvement.
