The Expert Academic Panel on Neurodiversity has published recommendations on helping neurodivergent employees succeed at work, the Department for Work and Pensions said.
Key recommendations
The report calls for support based on individual strengths and needs rather than a diagnosis, stronger disability employment policy, more research, practical evidence-based strategies and wider adoption of Universal Design so workplaces work for everyone from the outset.
Government programmes
The government points to its Connect to Work programme and Pathways to Work advisers, part of £3.5 billion of disability employment funding by the end of the decade. Employment support is largely reserved, though Scotland runs its own devolved employability services.
