The UN health agency says essential medicines should not be treated as dual-use items, with only one crossing open for approved aid.
Repeated delays in getting medicines, prosthetics and other supplies into Gaza risk devastating consequences, the World Health Organization said on 2 October.
Approved aid can only enter via Kerem Shalom, while at least four other main crossings remain closed. WHO representative Dr Reinhilde Van De Weerdt said essential medicines should not be classed as dual-use.
Almost a year into a fragile ceasefire, the UN describes the humanitarian situation as overwhelming.
