Dunnet Bay Distillers in Caithness is recalling its Rock Rose Gin Summer Cup Liqueur because it contains sulphites that are not listed on the label, Food Standards Scotland (FSS) said in an allergy alert.
Product affected
The recall covers 500ml bottles with batch codes 2025 and 2026. FSS says the product is a possible health risk for anyone sensitive to sulphur dioxide or sulphites.
What to do
Anyone with that sensitivity who has bought the product should not drink it and should return it to where it was bought. Point-of-sale notices are being displayed in shops selling the product and on the company’s website.
Wider advice
FSS has shared the alert with allergy support organisations. General advice on food allergy is available from NHS inform and the NHS.
