Applications have opened for the British Industrial Competitiveness Scheme, allowing eligible manufacturers in England, Scotland and Wales to seek exemptions from some electricity policy costs, Industrial News reports.
Deadlines
The window runs until 30 November, with decisions due in January. More than 10,000 businesses could qualify.
What changes
From April 2027 qualifying sites will be exempt from indirect Renewables Obligation and Feed-in Tariff costs, followed by Capacity Market costs in October 2027.
