Transport Scotland is considering temporary safety measures at the A9 junction for Dunkeld and Birnam after another crash, The Courier reports.

Latest crash

A collision closed the road on Monday and three people were taken to hospital. There have been several crashes on the stretch this year, including two deaths last month.

Options

Possible measures include temporary traffic lights and reduced speed limits on the approach. Warning signs have been updated; a temporary roundabout has been ruled out.

Pressure for action

Perthshire MSP Murdo Fraser met Transport Secretary Stephen Flynn and called for more urgency.
